January 11, 12-1 pm - Karen Evans

Direct Examination: Asking the Right Questions the Right Way

In October, we watched Stephanie Grana conduct voir dire in our wrongful death case. In November and December, we watched outstanding openings in vastly different styles with Amberley Hammer and Joe Fried. Now in January, watch Karen Evans present our client’s suffering through direct examinations of an expert witness and widow.

As a former registered nurse and preeminent trial attorney, Karen has developed effective methods of using direct examination to explain complex expert testimony and life changing catastrophic injuries and losses to jurors. Join us to watch her direct. Register here. Have you missed the first three programs? One fee covers all seven one-hour lunchtime programs and you can watch the recordings to catch up!

This program, which is the next installment in the DIA Tough Talk series, will explore the relationship between implicit bias and the ethical obligations of lawyers, specifically focusing on how implicit biases work against our clients, shape litigation strategies, and impact the trajectory of a client's case.
