If you attended the Convention, you probably met Hannah Brechlin running from a Business Partner to an exhibitor to another Business Partner. Hannah joined us late last year from the Greater Richmond Bar Foundation and has already forged great relationships with our Partners. She’s now turning her magic to the Young Trial Lawyers section.

Just last week, we welcomed Jonathan Sanford as our new Membership Director. He has been engrossed in trainings for our software and will be learning what makes VTLA tick for all of you. After a managing hundreds of students, families and programs at the Richmond Symphony, helping nurture and grow our VTLA membership should strike a beautiful note.

As always, VTLA staff is here for you. Please reach out to any one of us if we can help you in your practice.

Are you in a solo or small firm? What does VTLA do for you? What do you wish VTLA could do for you? What are the pain points in your practice? We’re listening.

VTLA President Vaden Warren is looking to meet you and a few of your colleagues for breakfast or lunch ... just to listen. Last month in Roanoke, we met with a few members and learned how much help webinars on business topics might be for small firms. We’ll be looking into some ideas there. Next, maybe we come to you? Drop us a quick note here and we’ll get you on the list.

The work world can be a competitive place. How can you set yourself apart? By practicing professionalism, both inside and outside of the office! This not only elevates you amongst your firm's clients, close peers, and associates but can also highlight your qualities to a much broader community.

Former paralegal and firm administrator Abigail Davis-Hess, will provide insight and tips for polishing the ways you conduct yourself, relate to others, and approach tasks, all of which factor into your degree of professionalism.

VTLA thrives with your contributions of time and money. Our legislative program is active year-round, working to protect our system of justice by ensuring Virginia’s legal climate provides fair and equal access to justice for all Virginians. The VTLPAC makes contributions to candidates committed to these ideals.

And we are more than just a legislative program. In 2022 our Foundation launched a new Diversity Scholarship/Fellowship program with significant contributions by our members. This summer, two outstanding law students are making an impact in two member firms as part of that program. Other members are looking at bike helmet safety programs and more!

Consider becoming part of our community of contributors. Just click here.
