VTLA is the only active voice in the Virginia legislature advocating for you and your clients. Your gift to VTLA helps shoulder the weight of our year-round program and is crucial in our success.
Contributions to VTLA could be 80% deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense (approximately 20% not deductible attributed to lobbying activities). As always, please contact your tax professional regarding this tax deduction.
One hundred percent of contributions to VTL PAC are distributed directly to candidates who share our core values: individual accountability, fair treatment of consumers, workers and victims of crime or negligence, the fundamental right of citizen to seek redress for grievances in the courts, and trial by jury. VTL PAC is governed by a Board of Trustees who carefully consider candidate support. Your contributions can be made as a portion of your VTLA contribution or through the VTL PAC Patriot Program. No PAC contributions are tax deductible.

The Virginia Trial Lawyers Foundation’s goals include promoting public understanding of the law, providing scholarships to persons studying law, providing a forum for public debate to promote understanding of the law, and preparing presentations, printed and audio-visual materials, to describe the working of the judicial process. The VTL Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) organization. This contribution is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
The VTLA Dogwood Fund was created to support VTLA operations that fall outside of regular budgeted activities. For example, this special fund allows the association to invest in new technology or expert consultants.

The VTL Foundation Bike Helmet Safety Fund funds helmets for children in areas where the need is great, and the purchase of a bike helmet is not likely. By giving a gift of only $25, two helmets can be purchased for children in need. The VTL Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) organization so any contribution is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
