This program is open to plaintiff attorneys and legal staff only.

This program, the first exit on VTLA's Route '26, provides a roadmap of pre-litigation practice in personal injury cases in Virginia to help you and your staff strengthen case value before any suit is filed. Beginning with client intake and the first 30 days of case handling, the course covers trust-building and boundary setting, rapid evidence preservation with an emphasis on locating and securing public and private video, and efficient issue-spotting to decide when to onboard or refer a case. Attendees will learn how to coordinate insurance benefits under Virginia’s regulatory framework, overcome improper billing practices, and structure negotiations that address both small-to-mid value claims and catastrophic injury cases—equipping practitioners with concrete tools, checklists, and strategies to challenge carrier mis-evaluations and maximize value before suit is filed.

This program emphasizes real-world tactics that preserve coverage, strengthen liability, and drive better outcomes pre-suit.

Who Should Attend: This program is designed for plaintiff personal injury attorneys and paralegals who handle auto, premises, or insurance-related injury claims in Virginia and want to maximize case value before filing suit.
