Synopsis: Navigate the twists and turns of the discovery process with confidence in this practical, strategy-driven program, the third exit on VTLA's Route '26, designed for plaintiff’s attorneys and staff. From crafting effective written discovery and leveraging requests for inspection to handling motions practice when disputes arise, this seminar delivers real-world guidance for getting the information you need to build a winning case. Our presenters will also address ethical considerations, the strategic use of experts, and proven approaches for dealing with defense counsel throughout the process. Attendees will walk away with actionable techniques to overcome common roadblocks, strengthen their case development, and position their claims for successful resolution or trial.

Registration fee for employees of Legal Aid, a Public Defender program, or local, state, or federal government agency is one-half the standard fee. Call VTLA to register.

CLE Certificate and Materials:
Seminar materials, along with the CLE Certificate of Attendance, will be emailed to you 1-2 days before the seminar so that you may print any materials you may wish to have with you. If you would like to access these materials while at the seminar, please bring your laptop or tablet; no printed copies will be provided. Materials and certificates to any VTLA program you have registered for may be accessed in MyVTLA, located at the top of the VTLA website.

Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early and come to the VTLA registration table to check in.

Cancellations received before materials are emailed will be refunded the registration fee paid less a $25 cancellation fee.
