Medical school can be valuable for lawyers in several ways. First, medical education can provide lawyers with a deeper understanding of the medical issues involved in personal injury and medical malpractice cases, which can be useful in both litigation and settlement negotiations. This knowledge can help lawyers to better evaluate the strength of their cases, as well as to communicate more effectively with medical experts and to understand the medical testimony presented in court.

Second, medical education can also help lawyers to understand the complex medical-legal issues that arise in healthcare-related cases and transactions, such as regulatory compliance, reimbursement, and healthcare reform. This knowledge can be useful for lawyers who practice in healthcare-related areas, such as healthcare transactional law, healthcare regulatory law, and healthcare compliance.

Finally, medical education can also provide lawyers with a broader perspective on the legal system and the role of law in society. The study of medicine can expose lawyers to the human side of the legal system and can deepen their understanding of the impact of legal decisions on people's lives.

However, it's worth noting that the majority of lawyers don't attend medical school, but they can still be very successful in practicing in healthcare-related areas by developing their knowledge in those areas through continuing education, training and experience.
