The Women’s Caucus special Toy & Book Drive Amazon Wishlist: 2 weeks to go!
Prosecutors in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts meet children and families in crisis every day. These prosecutors prepare child victims to go to trial on cases that often involve unspeakable physical or sexual violence. Oftentimes, these prosecutors connect with children using toys, coloring books and crayons, and fidget toys. Unfortunately, these items become worn and used, and there often is no budget for replacements.
Thanks to your generosity, to date, we have gathered more than 300 items to assist these children in crisis. The items will be distributed to JDR courts this summer. If you haven’t already donated, you still have time to make a difference!
Here is the link. You will notice that there are set quantities of 5, 10 and 20 for each item - that’s because the need is so great. We are trying to replace the books and toys in as many JDR courts as we can. Please, please be generous! Be sure to select the VTLA WC shipping address when you check out.
