It was fantastic to see more than 350 VTLA colleagues in person, joined by another 110 on Zoom, last month at Lansdowne for our 63rd Annual Convention. This was our first time hosting the Convention at Lansdowne Resort in Northern Virginia, and I think we can say that it was a popular choice given that your enthusiasm allowed us to reach record attendance levels. It was such a joy to be able to reconnect with friends and colleagues in person for the first time in years! Be sure to check out all the great convention photos HERE

We were excited to bring you 46 speakers over the course of the convention, including Joe Fried, Jon Lomurro, Navan Ward, Deborah Chang, and Sarah-Nell Walsh, whose talks were innovative and compelling. Our members, Virginia speakers, judges, and legislators added important content about legal developments and current statewide issues. Thank you to all who put so much time and thought into the presentations.

We were joined by 48 exhibitors, who brought along great raffle prizes and educated us about their valuable services.

We embraced format changes this year, including offering a personalized experience with ten breakout sessions. Attendees chose from several focused discussions and presentations to truly customize their learning. Beyond the programming, we loved catching up as a collective at the Membership luncheon, at the Winery Dinner, and evening receptions. We concluded a great weekend by celebrating VTLA’s 2022-2023 President, Bridget Long, with a truly memorable 80’s bash!

Thank you to everyone who attended, tuned in, and supported us this year for your help in making the Convention such a success. Rock on!
