Have you considered seeking a position on the VTLA Board of Governors? Consider running for a seat as an elected District Governor! VTLA has 13 Districts and 16 District Governor seats with the next one-year term of office beginning April 5, 2024. The districts and current governors are listed in the Directory of Members and Services. If you are interested, please submit a signed petition by January 10.
VTLA’s Board is comprised of a number of groups:
- Officers: elected by the Board following the convention
- Governors at Large: recommended by the Nominating Committee and voted on by the membership at the Annual Convention
- District Governors: Voted on by members in VTLA districts (when there is a contested seat, or appointed by the Nominating Committee when vacant)
- Section Leaders: leaders in our substantive law sections as well as Young Trial Lawyers and Women’s Caucus
- Past Presidents
- Ex Officios: committee chairs who are not also serving in another role
