Christine joined the Virginia State Bar as an Assistant Bar Counsel in January 2016. Christine is responsible for prosecuting professional disciplinary cases in the first district and the second section of the second district. Before joining the VSB, Christine practiced family law with the Richmond firms Deanna D. Cook, P.C. and Barnes & Diehl, P.C. where she handled any issues involving divorce matters, including complicated equitable distribution, spousal support, child support, child custody, and protective order cases. Christine also spent three years in Blacksburg, her hometown, practicing family law and criminal law. Prior to becoming licensed in Virginia, Christine was licensed to practice law in Florida in 1996, where she worked as a prosecutor in Santa Rosa County, Florida and spent two years clerking for the Magistrate Judges in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida in Pensacola. Christine received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and her law degree from Seattle University School of Law. During law school she clerked for the Washington State Office of the Attorney General in the Tort Claims Division.
