1 Program with Rosemary V. Bourne

Rosemary is a Senior Assistant Attorney General/Team Leader at the Office of the Attorney General. She has been with the office for over ten years in the Criminal Appeals Section where she has briefed and argued well over a hundred direct appeals in the Court of Appeals of Virginia, has briefed and argued fourteen direct appeals in the Supreme Court of Virginia, and has handled hundreds of state and federal petitions for writs of habeas corpus in the state and federal courts, including arguing several cases in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Her duties include editing briefs and pleadings of other attorneys in the criminal appeals section. Before joining the Office of the Attorney General, Rosemary had eight years of experience prosecuting criminal cases as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Henrico County, the City of Hopewell and Gloucester County. She graduated magna cum laude in 1997 from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
