Mr. Halperin has been in practice for over 24 years, and during that time, he has left his mark on the world through ground-breaking legal actions. He has fought for the rights of victims, pursued many cases that challenged harmful products, and kept true to his focus on personal injury law. His accomplishments include:

• The establishment of the new tort of spoliation for destruction of evidence in the District of Columbia
• The establishment of dram-shop liability in the District of Columbia for restaurants serving alcohol to minors
• Taught Federal Practice and Procedure as an Adjunct Professor of Law the Catholic University of America and Columbus School of Law
• Teaches Continuing Legal Education to the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association
• Taught Continuing Legal Education courses for the District of Columbia Bar
• Was chosen to coach the American University Law School National Moot Court Team
• Served as a Delegate to the Judicial Conference for the D.C. Court of Appeals
• Served as a Steering Committee Member of the Injury to Persons and Property Section Committee of the D.C. Bar

Before he came to Richmond, Mr. Halperin was a Senior and Founding Partner of a boutique litigation law firm in Washington, D.C. He has lectured extensively in the fields of personal injury and trial law at schools and universities. Additionally, he taught federal practice and procedure at The Colombus School of Law for 7 years. After his many accomplishments in education, he continues to present legal education courses and seminars to attorneys and legal staff for the Virginia Trial Lawyers' Association and theNational Business Institute. He has also lectured on behalf of the Roscoe Pound Foundation regarding the fundamentals of trial practice.
