VTLA News

It’s hard to believe the 2021 VTLA Convention is already behind us – it came and went faster than we could say Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! For the second year in a row, VTLA history was made - in 2020 we held our first all virtual convention, and this year, we held our first  “hybrid” convention with several hundred in person and more than several hundred more online. We were blown away by the turnout and proud to lead the country again in outstanding programming.

Our 2021 Convention Chair Brody Reid and the Convention Committee did an exceptional job organizing this year’s historic gathering and the name of the game was “flexible” throughout the planning process. As usual, the lineup of speakers and topics were stellar. For those attending in person, the receptions and dinners together were much needed after a year of pandemic life. For those attending virtually, our platform offered new ways to feel plugged in and even bonus content!

On the final night of the convention, Craig Davis was installed as the 2021-2022 VTLA President and Elliot Buckner was deeply thanked for his leadership in a most unconventional presidential year.

Thank you to The Greenbrier staff for assisting us with rigorous safety precautions to provide  a safe place for us to gather. Thank you to our many exhibitors and sponsors for your critical support each year – we literally couldn’t do it without you. Thank you to our speakers, members, business partners, attendees, planners and all involved. It truly takes a village and we’re so glad you are a part of ours.

Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for the 2022 VTLA Convention which will be held March 24-27 at Lansdowne Resort & Spa in Leesburg - another VTLA first!
